Year 8 after the Hijrah (8 AH)

In Safar of Year 8 after the Hijrah, the expedition of Ghalib ibn Abdullah al-Laythi went to Banu al-Mulawwih at al-Kadid, and they gained booty and returned safely.

In Rabi' al-Awwal of the eighth year, the expedition of Shuja ibn Wahb al-Asadi set out to Banu Amir at as-Siyy, in the region of Rukbah beyond al-Ma'din, and gained much livestock and sheep.

In Dhu al-Qa'dah of the eighth year, Ash-Shayma, the foster sister of the Prophet ﷺ, was brought as a captive. The Prophet ﷺ treated her kindly, showed favor to her, and then freed her.

The Prophet ﷺ married Fatimah bint ad-Dahhak al-Kilabiyyah in Dhu al-Qa'dah of Year 8 after the Hijrah, then she sought refuge from him, so he separated from her. The report also mentions what her state became after that.

Zaynab, daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, gave birth to her daughter Umamah from Abu al-As ibn ar-Rabi. The Prophet ﷺ used to carry her in prayer.

Sawdah, may Allah be pleased with her, gave her day to Aishah, may Allah be pleased with her, meaning she gave up her turn in the division among the wives of the Prophet ﷺ.

Mughaffal ibn Abd Nuhm al-Muzani passed away in Year 8 after the Hijrah. He was the father of the Companion Abdullah ibn Mughaffal, and he was a Companion.

Zaynab, daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, died in the Year 8 after the Hijrah (8 AH). She was his oldest child, and Umm Atiyyah may Allah be pleased with her washed her.

The point is that a group from Tha'labah came to the Prophet ﷺ that year, but their number and what took place between them are not mentioned.

The delegation of Abd al-Qays came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. They came on two delegations. It was mentioned that their first delegation was in the fifth year of the Hijrah, or before that. In it, they asked about faith and about drinks. Among them was Al-Ashajj al-Asri, whom the Prophet ﷺ praised.

It shows that Thumalah and al-Hidan came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in Year 8 after the Hijrah (8 AH).
