كيف اجتازت الأمة أصعب لحظاتها حين فقدت قائدها ومعلّمها.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away at midday on Monday, the 12th of Rabi‘ al-Awwal in Year 11 after the Hijrah (11 AH), after he had fully conveyed his Lord's Message.
It marks the conclusion of the Prophetic Sirah in this world and the end of the stage of revelation and the Message.
At midday on Monday, the 12th of Rabi‘ al-Awwal of this year, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away, after having conveyed the Message of his Lord. My father and mother, myself and my soul be sacrificed for him.
This means that the life of the Prophet ﷺ in this world ended on that day, after he had completed conveying Islam to the people.
That the illness grew severe for the Prophet ﷺ in his final days, and that this was the last stage his affair reached in this world.
His completing the conveyance of the Message of his Lord
The Prophet ﷺ's presence among his Companions in this world came to an end, and the الأمة moved to a new stage in its history.
It is the end of the Prophetic Sirah in this world.
It shows that the Message was fully conveyed.
It marks the start of a new stage in leadership of the الأمة after the cessation of revelation.
It brought a major change in the lives and feelings of Muslims.
It reminds the الأمة of the reality of death and of the completeness of the prophetic conveyance.
The era of prophethood closed, and the الأمة began to bear responsibility for continuing the Message.
It moved the الأمة from direct dependence on the presence of the Prophet ﷺ to the responsibility of following and preserving.
The one who passed away after completing the conveyance of the Message
The written appointed time was fulfilled, and the Prophetic message was completed.
Fidelity to the Message and truthfulness in fulfilling the trust.
The unity of the community around its Prophet and its message.
The need for the Muslim community to continue after the death of its leader.
Teaching the community that prophets are human and die after carrying out what they were charged with.
The need to preserve the Message and organize the affairs of the community after the leader's death.
The transition of Islam from the stage of prophetic establishment to the stage of historical spread.
A strong attachment to the leader until the meaning of the Message itself disappears from the people.
Focus on principles and the Message, not on people alone.
Building work on firm foundations, not on the presence of one individual.
Preparing institutions to continue after leaders are gone.
Remembering that the end of life is certain, and that the duty is to act well.
Apply the lesson only in a general sense, without uncontrolled comparisons.
The death of the Prophet ﷺ was the end of revelation and the Message, while the death of others does not carry this meaning.
Build work on the Message and the foundations, not on people staying.
