In Dhu al-Qa'dah of this year: the Umrah of Qada took place.
The Umrah of Qada was the Umrah that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his Companions performed in Dhu al-Qa'dah in Year 7 AH, after Quraysh had prevented them from entering Makkah in the year of Hudaybiyyah, Year 6 AH. It came in fulfillment of one of the terms of The Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, which stated that the Muslims would return that year, then come the next year and stay in Makkah for three days to perform the Umrah. The Prophet ﷺ entered Makkah with his Companions as pilgrims, not fighters. They circled the House and showed strength and steadfastness. Then they left after the three days were complete, honoring the agreement. The Umrah of Qada shows the effect of The Treaty of Hudaybiyyah in opening the way for the Muslims to return safely to Makkah. It also shows the Prophet's ﷺ character in keeping agreements and turning the conflict with Quraysh from military confrontation into a stage of practical recognition of the Muslims' strength and their right to worship.
