The delegation of Banu Amir was a delegation from Banu Amir ibn Sa'sa'ah that came to the Prophet ﷺ in the Year of Delegations. Among its most notable men were Amir ibn at-Tufayl and Arbad ibn Qays. Amir tried to bargain with the Prophet ﷺ for rule and leadership, but the Prophet ﷺ refused, because Islam is a call to guidance, not a tribal power project. The story of this delegation shows the difference between one who came seeking truth and was guided, and one who came arrogantly seeking worldly gain, whose end was loss.
